Our Jungle activities are conducted by trained naturalists, and we use 4 wheel drive safari vehicles and spacious large boats.
This tour offers the exploration of the jungle on foot and is more suitable for bird watchers. Chances of encountering other animals also exist and we take special care not to endanger the safety of our clients.
Nature walk is a unique highlight of Chitwan. This on foot safari helps you to be into the shoes of naturalists to explore study and unravel the hidden secret in the woods. The jungle walk offers a great chance of spotting wildlife and is quite adventurous. As per the interest of the guest the nature walks can be longer or shorter.
From the hotel you are rowed in a boat to the confluence of Narayani and Rapti river viewing a variety of aquatic birds like Kingfisher, wild ducks, crane and animals like The Mugger and Gharial crocodiles. Sometimes you can spot Rhinos wallowing in the river. This point is a vantage point to watch the sunset. Return by vehicle after a 15 minutes drive through local villages.
Following the Tharu
Drive to a nearby village to witness the way The Tharus live. The Tharus are the original inhabitants of Chitwan and maintain an unique culture in way of living and house construction.
Prior 1950s they were the only inhabitants in Chitwan and were known for their resistance to malaria.
Drive by 4 wheel drive deep into the Chitwan Park. This unique opportunity provides a chance to spot The Great Indian one horned Rhinoceros , the elusive tiger, spotted deer and other lesser game. Breakfast or lunch is served in the middle of the jungle.
We offer an option for the safari to be conducted in the morning or afternoon or full day.
Full Day Safari with Boat & Vehicle
Early morning float down on Rapti River to the point of confluence of Rapti and Narayani rivers. Breakfast is served at this point and after breakfast continue by boat till Amaltari Ghat. From this point drive down in jeeps through the National Park.
This is considered as the dense area and a fair chance to see big games exists. Lunch in the middle of the jungle and return back to hotel in the late afternoon.
